Joe Ling owns Novem Community Fitness, a North Philadelphia gym that has been open for 16 years. Each June the gym hosts a Pride WOD fundraiser, which Ling estimates has raised more than $25,000, and the 2026 edition benefited The Attic Youth Center. Born in Hong Kong, he found CrossFit in 2009 and is a Level 3 CrossFit instructor.
