Max Adler is a longtime boxing coach and former competitive boxer who founded OutBox, a trans-owned boxing and fitness gym now based in Bushwick. He started with outdoor classes during the pandemic and opened the gym in 2021 as an ungendered space for LGBTQ+ people and anyone who has not felt welcome in athletic spaces. OutBox also hosts fights, raves and comedy nights.
