Mimi Demissew

Executive Director, Our Family Coalition

Mimi Demissew has served as executive director of Our Family Coalition, the San Francisco-based nonprofit advancing equity for LGBTQ+ families, since September 2020. She previously led the Pride Center of Maryland before moving to the East Bay with her wife and child. A queer Black mom, she has advocated for California policy changes including expanded paid family leave for workers caring for chosen family.
