Ken Shulman is executive director of Lambert House, Seattle's community center for LGBTQ+ youth, which has offered in-person and online programs since 1981. He has said young people come to Lambert House mainly to make friends, and he has described helping a student who was kicked out of his family home find housing and a full scholarship to the University of Washington. In 2026 he has spoken publicly about how stressful it is for queer young people to grow up right now.
