Director, Nuanua Collective

Jakey Sala Siolo is the director of Nuanua Collective, a Utah collective founded in 2019 that centers LGBTQ+ Pacific Islanders and works alongside the wider queer and trans BIPOC community. The collective hosts identity-affirming events that honor traditional Pacific understandings of gender, including Fafa Fest, an alcohol-free Indigenous Pride festival in Salt Lake City. Fafa Fest held a full day of programming inside SLC Pride's footprint in June 2026.
