Roz Gould Keith founded Stand with Trans in 2015 after her son came out as transgender, starting with a one-day workshop for trans youth. The Metro Detroit nonprofit now has a staff of about 10 and runs telehealth mental health care, family support and the annual Transgender Empowerment Month.
