QueerCalendarThis event is a night hike in the spirit of Halloween, but queer!! Join Branching Out Adventures, in partnership with Midpeninsula Regional Open Space, to search for glow-in-the-dark critters, listen to the sounds of nature at night, and practice using your night vision.
The hike covers up to three miles in dark conditions, and participants must stay with the group the whole time. Cell service is minimal or nonexistent in the preserve.
Bring: a filled water bottle, comfortable hiking clothes and shoes, warm layers or rain gear, protection against poison oak and ticks, and an optional red-light headlamp. Gear can be borrowed if needed. Carpooling is encouraged.
Everyone must register individually and approve the online waiver. If extreme weather or poor air quality forces a cancellation, participants will be emailed no later than 5:00 PM two days before the event. Accessibility questions: [email protected].
