Craft and Consciousness Raising

This month at Craft and Consciousness Raising we will be reading from and discussing In the Life: A Black Gay Anthology, edited by Joseph Beam, a former Giovanni's Room employee! This groundbreaking collection explores Black gay life, identity, community, and liberation through the voices of Black gay writers.

Craft and Consciousness Raising is a monthly reading series that blends queer theory, mindfulness, and arts & crafts! No need to read ahead, essays will be read aloud! Craft supplies are provided, and you can bring your own!
