Walker’s Pint

Walker’s Pint opened its doors in July 2001 in Milwaukee’s Walker’s Point neighborhood.
Founded by Elizabeth “Bet-z” Boenning, the bar quickly became known as a welcoming, women-forward space with sunlight, open windows, and an inclusive vibe—unlike the dark, windowless clubs of the past. Bet-Z, a former staff member at the now-closed lesbian bar Dish, wanted something different: a casual, visible, and affirming space for LGBTQ+ patrons and allies alike.

Her amazing staff members over the years have helped create the wonderful and welcoming space the Pint is today.
