Trans Masculine Alliance Houston (TMAH)
Transmasculine Alliance Houston (TMAH) is a peer-led educational and social group for individuals in Houston and the surrounding areas who were assigned female at birth (AFAB), identify as transgender, and lean toward a masculine presentation. We recognize “transgender” as an umbrella term and welcome all AFAB individuals, wherever they may be in their journey.
The mission of TMAH is to provide a safe and supportive environment for the transmasculine community. We host workshops, community building and social activities, and have a traditional peer-led meeting each month to address issues related to transmasculine identity. Founded in 1999 by Troy Ham, Karl Kirkpatrick, Sandy O’Daniel, and George Zemanek, Transmasculine Alliance Houston is the longest continuously running support group for transgender individuals in and around Houston.
