She Fest San Diego

WHO WE ARE:
We are a LGBTQ+ volunteer committee that centers the diverse experiences of LGBTQ+ women and non-binary people, and welcome all who find community amongst these identities. Together, we uplift, support, empower, and connect LGBTQ+ women and non-binary people on unceded Kumeyaay and Luiseño land (San Diego region) through community-building, arts, education, and advocacy. 

We are explicitly inclusive and affirming of trans people, intersex people, and non-binary people.

We commit to combating oppression, bigotry, discrimination, and injustice inclusive of homophobia, transphobia, patriarchy, racism, and ableism.

WHAT WE DO:
We deliver empowering and accessible programming and content that centers LGBTQ+ women and non-binary people; create opportunities to connect LGBTQ+ small businesses to new audiences; facilitate social events that bring people together; and invest in and celebrate the volunteer leadership of She Fest committee members. Our year-round efforts culminate in an annual flagship event that brings over 4,000 of our community members together to kick off San Diego’s Pride week in July.
