Gay Men Beyond the Scene

Gay Men Beyond the Scene is a community for gay men seeking deeper connection, meaningful conversation, personal growth, and a fuller, more authentic life.

Many of us have spaces for going out, networking, dating apps, or surface-level socializing. Those spaces can absolutely be fun and valuable — but many of us are also craving friendships, conversations, and community that feel more grounded, honest, supportive, and real.

This group was created for that.

Together, we explore many of the experiences gay men navigate but don’t always discuss openly, including:

• Perfectionism and burnout
• Dating, intimacy, and relationships
• Body image and confidence
• Loneliness and belonging
• Masking and people-pleasing
• Health, wellness, and self-care
• Friendship and chosen family
• Purpose, creativity, and personal growth
• Learning to feel more at home as ourselves

Some events will be social and playful. Others will be more intentional, reflective, or growth-oriented. The goal is not self-perfection — it’s building authentic connection, greater self-compassion, and stronger community.

Possible events may include:

• Guided discussions and group conversations
• Social mixers and community dinners
• Wellness and mindfulness gatherings
• Book clubs and discussion nights
• Accountability and goal-setting meetups
• Workshops and coaching-based events
• Outdoor activities and local meetups
• Virtual conversations and community spaces

This is not therapy, and you do not need to have your life figured out to belong here.

Whether you’re thriving, struggling, reinventing yourself, or simply looking for deeper friendships and more meaningful conversations, you’re welcome exactly as you are.

Come as you are. Grow at your own pace. Build something real together.
