Founded in June, 2020 Love Wins NYC offers New Yorkers a safe environment to access free high-quality and fresh produce regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, immigration status or religion. LWNYC is a volunteer-led organization combating food insecurity in low-income communities across New York City. Our work is a response to the pressing issue of food insecurity, especially prevalent within low-income, LGBTQ+ and immigrant communities, who report feeling unsafe and discriminated against when seeking assistance from non-LGBTQ+ competent institutions.
