We invite you to join us for a one-day only exhibition dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of Houston’s leather community.
Sunday, May 31, 2026, this unique event will present a curated collection of artifacts and archival materials spanning from the 1970s to the present day. This exhibition is made possible through the work of the Heart of Leather Foundation, an organization committed to the protection, preservation, and interpretation of LGBTQIA+ history. Our mission is rooted in honoring the full spectrum of lived experiences—embracing both the struggles and triumphs, the moments of hardship and pride that define the community’s legacy. Through careful stewardship of these materials, the Foundation seeks to ensure that these histories are not lost, but instead remain accessible, educational, and deeply human.
