QueerCalendar💫 We kicked off the new Kiwanis year in the most fantastic way!
Our gatherings are always full of life and we were so glad to be together with so many of our members, guests and new faces to have some really important conversations. Not only did we brainstorm some impactful ways we can better serve our community, we heard a very informative presentation from two deputy chiefs of staff at City Hall.
Big thanks to Nick Serrano, Deputy Chief of Staff to @mayortoddgloria, and Ryan Darsey, Deputy Chief of Staff to @cmwhitburn, for sharing about their journeys to City Hall, giving us a behind the scenes perspective on how things work there, and tips on how we can advocate for the things we want in our community. It was really informative and we appreciate the time they spent with us!
