The Houston Area L.O.V.E. Survey — LGBTQ+ Opinions, Voices & Experiences — is the FIRST community-wide survey of LGBTQ+ life in Greater Houston, covering healthcare, mental health, housing, workplace culture, financial security, discrimination, and more.
Until now, there has been no comprehensive dataset on what LGBTQ+ residents of Greater Houston need, experience, or prioritize. As a result, the lived experiences and voices of LGBTQ+ people across our region have too often been absent from the decisions that shape policy, funding, and community programming.
The report is being released during LGBTQ+ History Month — a fitting moment to put the voices of the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ community on the record and add a new chapter to our community’s story.
Thank you to every person who completed the survey and shared their voice. On October 29, we’ll share what you told us.
Community members, survey participants, collaboration partners, allies, elected officials, and leaders of health and well-being organizations across Greater Houston are all invited. Whether you took the survey, shared it with your networks, or are just learning about it now, there’s a seat for you.
