Gender Expansive Dance Class is an intentionally sober and access-focused space for trans and queer people to practice embodiment and presence. The class is lead by Alyssa Rose (they/them) - a trans, queer, disabled, SWANA improvisational and healing artist. This trans/disabled-lead and nervous-system informed practice is intended to cultivate more feelings of safety, less fear of being misgendered, and foster greater connection to ourselves and others in community. We will begin by practicing mindful deep listening with our body-heart-mind, and then move through improvisation scores that connect us to our innate creatureness - transforming, dignified, and alive. This class is specifically for 2SLGBTQIA+ movers of all intersectional identities and experience levels.
