QueerCalendarControl, compression and communication - it’s time to intensify your rope game! Explore the classic futomomo, a folded leg tie that creates a strong, sculptural shape. In the 6th class of our beginner series, you’ll learn how to build and refine this pattern, adapt it to various flexibility levels, and play with levels of tightness and intensity.
Prerequisites: to make the most of this class, riggers should know how to tie a single column cuff and reverse tension.
What to bring/wear: 1-2 hanks of rope for those who are tying - we will have rope for borrowing or for sale at the studio! We will be tying tight rope on the legs. For bottom’s comfort, avoid wearing baggy pants or jeans that may catch in the rope.
Do I need a partner for this class? All of the exercises in this class can be done either on a partner or self-tied.
Please arrive on time, as late entry may not be permitted due to the structured nature of the material.
